Who Are EMDR Hawaii Therapists?
Terence C. Wade, Ph.D., and Darlene K. Wade, LCSW, began their own training in Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) in 1991 with Francine Shapiro, Ph.D., the originator of EMDR. They established EMDR Hawaii in the early 90s to provide EMDR therapy, training and consultation in Hawaii. They served as Training Facilitators for Dr. Shapiro’s EMDR Institute for many years and are now Trainers and Coaches with EMDR Consulting. They are Certified Therapists and Approved Consultants by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).
They have education, training and experience in treating a broad range of mental and emotional problems, including post-traumatic stress, anxiety and depression, as well as substance use and relationship problems.
They also specialize in enabling people to optimize their performance in a wide variety of activities, including executives and professionals as well as athletes and performing artists.
In addition, they serve as trainers and consultants to other therapists as part of their basic training through EMDR Consulting and enable EMDR therapists to become EMDRIA Certified Therapists and Approved Consultants.
